Things you should know when going to Disneyland with a kid under 2 years old
We went to Disneyland!! These words seemed unreal after a year of lockdown but the world is coming back to normal again and we wanted to celebrate it in a big way. We booked a trip to Disneyland! It was Baby A’s first theme park, so let me tell you the things you’d want to know!
1- Snacks – BRING LOT’S OF SNACKS! And Water!
There are obviously a lot of food and snack that you could buy inside the theme park but for two simple reasons you might want to bring in your own. It is a cheaper option and you won’t have to make a snack line (you’re welcome I already saved you 2 hours of waiting line) 🙂
2- Bring your own stroller
Hear me out, if your kid is already comfortable enough to jump in and out of a stroller on his or her own then you will want to rent the Disneyland one. Why? Because they are made for it! These rented strollers are very low so it is super easy for your little one to jump in and out of them and believe me It comes very handy, especially if you might want to take your children in and out of the stroller during rides. However if your baby is much younger then i would recommend you bring in your own stroller, plus it is much more conformable for your little one!
I almost forgot this very important piece of information! If your are planning on a nap, bring your own stroller, again it is much more confortable. I also packed a light blanket to cover the stroller with, to give baby more shades and some sort of black out.
3-Plan ahead of your visit but be flexible
Our number one mistake? We did not plan ahead by looking at the theme park layout or the rides we wanted to try!
So here is your night before plaining, to do list:
- Look up the park map to avoid loosing time going back and forth. It a big park, VERY big!
- Plan out what rides you’d want to try while the kid is napping. (Remember, your kid may not want to nap or have a really short one so make this list archivable!)
- Pack the diaper/kid bag the night before. Pro tip for last minute items like food and water, make a list/post-it and stick in on the exit door 🙂
- This is your family fun day so don’t over-plan and leave some room for the unexpected.
Really important information! Currently, because of Covid-19, once you book your ticket online you have to make sure to read your confirmation email. There is a last step taken to secure your ticket and date of visit. We learned this the hard way and they almost did not let us in! 🙁
4- Take pictures and have fun!
