HALO BassiNest

HALO BassiNest

Who doesn’t want the best for their baby? Let’s be honest we all do! As parents we are often ready to spend big bucks when it comes to buying the best trending baby gear out there. Then you ask yourself. Are these always necessary? Spoiler alert, they are not! But let’s not jump into conclusions here and really give the HALO BassiNest a chance!

With our first baby Adrian I wanted to make sure we got the best of the best bassinet because, hello first time mother!

There were a few key items that I was looking for:
  • I wanted a product well known on the market that already proved its liability and safety. Trust me, you do not want your tiny baby to be that Ginny pig.
  • It was important for me that a bassinet could rotate and move easily. If you are reading this you are probably pregnant and we all know that you get up a million times per night for a bathroom call! Well when baby arrives it’s not a bathroom call but a feeding call. So you don’t want anything in your way every 2 hours to get out of bed. You want mobility.
  • I wanted a bassinet that would allow me at night to take baby and feed him directly from the comfort of my own bed. Believe me those first weeks are rough.
  • Last but not least, I wanted something big enough for baby but small enough to not overload our bedroom.
BINGO! we found a winner!

The Halo BassiNest! We went for the classic version as I heard from other moms that transitioning a baby from a electronic rocking bassinet to a crib could be tough.

The Halo BassiNest had everything I wanted, it’s safe, well known, and easy to rotate without taking much room space. However if you are looking to mobilize it around the house it can get tricky. It’s legs are really speared out and it is heavy!

To be completely honest, there is one thing that I wish I knew, or thought about before jumping in this expensive product. When are babies too big to sleep in it? Adrian outgrow his bassinet at 4 months old (he was around 16 lbs and 25 in). This was a huge concern for us as baby was not ready to sleep in his crib yet. We ended up buying a pack ‘n play until baby was ready to sleep in his own room. I hated it but it was our safest option. With that said if you are out there looking for months and months of usage.. This product may not be for you.

Now if your are able to spend big bucks, go for it. The Halo BassiNest is a winner! It’s a great item that has all you and baby needs for those first couples of months.
